Its 13 days to the Malawi general elections on May 19 and I cant wait for the elections fever to subside. As a journalist I shouldnt feel frustrated but I am so tired of these elections that I am looking forward to when the Malawi Electoral COmmission will announce the winner so that we can get on with life.
Life should be about making choices and one way of doing that is choosing a person who will lead you through theseelections. But the politics associated with making that choice is what is really making ame angry. Politicians are taking people for granted at the expense of canvassing for votes. Lets hear from the voter whether he or she cares about the rhetoric from politicians. The voters just want to be heard and for their wishes to be carried out.
When will this May 19 be?
